Selling Sakho
Saw an article saying Moyes giving go ahead to Sakho 12mil move in January? (Obviously could be BS)
However...if tru, for me it´s a mistake.

AC again injured, just waiting for his at least once a season long injury to kick in. AC also hasn´t scored ALL season, does he have an assist?

Sakho has 3 goals and 1 assist and always looks lively and makes a positive contribution when coming on. Given starts he WILL score.

Little pea is a poacher, he need the chance in the box and generally we don´t create that many box chances. Sakho can score from different areas and creates things far more.

Would we buy somebody as good and in a small overpriced slot in January? Doubtful.

Martinez hasn´t been given a chance so given an injury to one or two strikers (1 is inevitable) we would be left with Ayew/Antonio upfront as cover as Martinez is untried.

Mistake to sell...keep him to help secure safety.

Re: Selling Sakho
I’d take £12M in a flash.

Oh and he won’t go unless a replacement is available.

Re: Selling Sakho
Keeping a fit and motivated Sakho is a no-brainer.

Unfortunately he rarely is the former and probably isn't the latter.

Re: Selling Sakho
Id take £12M easy

Looks to of lost a yard of pace

Doesnt want to be here, has a shit attitude and injury problems

£12M is silly money for him

Snap their arm off and get Martinez ready

Re: Selling Sakho
If he's not even getting the nod with all the other strikers injured then it's clear for whatever reason he was in neither Bilic or Moyes plans.

12 million is a decent return, actually.

Re: Selling Sakho
Aren't we buying some Russian hot shot and if he's replacing Sakho who really gives a shit?

Re: Selling Sakho
Thing is I aint interested in returns, profit margins...I am interested in who we have that can score or assist goals when our other injury prone strikers aren´t available.
Arnie has 1 goal so far, Antonio looks unfit and an injury waiting to happen.

Ayew is hit and miss and not a striker. Martinez won´t be played by Moyes and is untried.

Good luck getting a replacement for 12 mil. If we invest a little more on a genuine striker rather than winger and then let Sakho go I am all in.But he can´t be an offcast, on old player looking for his last pay packet or somebody with a hugh record of injuries...all of which are the D Brothers favourite signings!

Re: Selling Sakho
I really don't get what people see in this guy.

He's a nut case.
He's our most injured player.
He's scored 2 league goals in 2 seasons.
He doesn't give a toss about playing for WHU.

Re: Selling Sakho
IF, and its a massive IF anyone is willing & stupid enough to pay for Sakho, we should bite their hand off!

*As long as a replacement is brought in.

Same goes for AC.

Re: Selling Sakho
My guess would be Sakho will be moved on for around the figure mooted and they will bring someone in like Danny Ings on a loan with an option.

Or alternatively a South American no sod's heard of.

Roeder-nowhere 1:24 Tue Dec 12
Re: Selling Sakho
Lee - is he our most injured player over his time or is that AC?
I agree we should get shot, but not now. Players we buy don´t exactly ever hit the ground running do they?? So on the offchance we bought a brilliant striker THEN sold Sakho (unlikely) who is to say he´ll hit form when we need him most

I think most of Sakos issues are in his head, if the move doesn´t happen in Jan he knows he´ll be off in the summer so he has to show what he has

Re: Selling Sakho
Ability wise there's no doubting sakho and his movement is great too - Man U aside this season, we look better when he's on the pitch

But I always think you can't put a price on good morale and harmony in the dressing room, especially when things aren't goi g well, and this guy seems determined to kick up trouble and doesn't respond well to discipline. He's perhaps the sort of player arry would do well with, arm round the shoulder and encouraging him but to the detriment of the other players who put the work in every day.

If he wants out, let him go.

Re: Selling Sakho
If it was me I'd get rid of him and Carroll in a heart-beat. Both a pair of wasters.

Carroll is, as we know, injury prone and when fit is either useless or getting himself sent off. And Sakho just seems to be a bit of a cunt.

Get rid.

Re: Selling Sakho
Obviously he is going it's only a case of when. I reckon he won't be up to full speed for the rest of this season so might as well fuck him off now

Just make sure we've enough to cover him going

Re: Selling Sakho
Shame really getting him and Valencia were part of the step forward we made towards playing some great football and getting results against the top teams!

Personally, I think Arnie would make a great Centre Forward

Re: Selling Sakho
He is one bloke i loved at the beginning and he and Carroll on paper could have been formidable...But reality bites and as sad as i am to say it he needs to be put on his bike.
You cannot have disruptive individuals in the club especially in a relegation fight.

one for all and all for one! Huzzah!

Re: Selling Sakho
I can't help wondering what the truth really is about his attitude and not being a team player etc. I remember when he scored earlier in the season, his team-mates were all over him. He also went on a hospital visit with some of the other lads a few days ago - presumably he would have volunteered for that. On the other hand, even if he has had it with West Ham, you would think he would be busting a gut to get himself in the shop window, unless perhaps a deal has already been done. Anyone itk?

Lily Hammer 2:33 Tue Dec 12
Re: Selling Sakho
If Sakho wants to stay and work hard to fight for his place in the team, then don’t sell him.

If not, sell him and get in someone who does.

Quite simple, really.

Iron Duke 2:34 Tue Dec 12
Re: Selling Sakho
He wants to go and hardly ever available. I can't see us getting that much for him but would definitely take it.

Yes that is the line that will be used when we don't bring in a replacement.
